
Efstathia Politi
Efstathia Politi is a Historian and Archivist. She studied History and Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and, after qualifying examinations, continued her studies in Archival, Library and Information Science at the University of West Attica. She holds postgraduate degrees in Modern Greek History (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and Comparative European History (European University Institute, Florence). Since 2021, she has been pursuing her PhD at the University of West Attica, with a dissertation entitled: Aristotelis Valaoritis (1824–1879): bibliographic and work documentation, semantic mapping, and the design of a digital collection.
She has collaborated with several research institutions and academic bodies in Greece and abroad, including the National Hellenic Research Foundation, the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies in Venice, the General State Archives, the Ministry of Culture, and the National Documentation Centre, contributing to research programs, digitization projects and the curation of digital content.
She is currently Head of the Library and Historical Archives at the Hellenic Maritime Museum.
